Wu-Yi TeaIf you have been searching around the internet for a diet plan that works, you may have seen numerous ads for Wu-Yi Tea, which the ads proclaim is a secret Chinese or Japanese women have used for centuries to stay slim and healthy.

On the advertisment page, you will see that the company claims to have access to an exclusive source for this special tea which can help you burn fat effortlessly and melt the unwanted pounds right away. These claims are often accompanied by written testimonials from people “just like you” who swear this particular brand of tea has helped them achieve weight loss they could not achieve through conventional methods.

On the Wu-Yi Source website, a list of potential benefits for people using this product is worded as follows:

1) May brighten skin while improving skin clarity
2) May fortify your immune system
3) May promote stronger, whiter teeth
4) May enhance body-mind wellness
5) It is 100% Natural and Organic

It is important that you take note that each one of these claims except the last one is started with the word “may”, and there is no actual claim that the product will produce the results guaranteed. It is also important to note that the fine print also carries the typical disclaimers, “Results Not Typical” and “When Used in Conjunction with Diet and Exercise” to alleviate the manufacturers of any claims arising from lack of anticipated results.

There are also reports of counsumers being ripped off by www.Wu-Yi.com who offers a 60 free trial, yet like other bizzare marketing firms, the only hope for a consumer to get out of their billing cycle is to cancel their credit card or report it stolen.

The Consumerist reports, Wu Yi Tea, The New Diet Scam which entails the runaround one unlucky consumer received after trying to cancel her free trail of Wu Yi Tea aka “Hollywood’s Hottest Diet.”

Unfortunately diet programs, beauty regimens, and herbal supplements are not government regulated industries, so it is imperative that you research the company before handing over your credit card information to anybody. Searching for “Wu Yi” and “scam” yields enough scary results to make you think twice about the product.
