Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Tatanya Novikov and I am a personal trainer who has been in the fitness industry since 1992. I currently hold a bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition with my eventual goal to become a clinical dietitian. One day, I hope to work managing the weight of overweight patients or in the care of renal (kidney), diabetic, or critically ill patients.
My inspiration for this career choice was my grandmother Anna who passed away in 2004 of diabetes related kidney failure. My grandmother came from Russia where eating was a part of family lifestyle and being overweight was the common standard. After seeing members of my family suffer from weight related illness, I dedicated my life to educating others about the perils of unhealthy living through over-eating and a poorly balanced diet.
This blog was created to help those of us who are working to lose weight. Whether you are just looking to shed a few pounds or if you’re trying to reclaim your life by losing a lot of weight, this blog is dedicated to providing you honest and insightful advice to achieve your goals.
One thing you will never find here is hype and hoopla over the latest diet fad, most of which are just ripoffs. The information you will find here is designed with my readers at heart and that is why you will only find the real answers to any questions you may have on this blog.
